Originally the deer grounds of Nottingham Castle, it lies close to the heart of the city: it takes less than 10 minutes to walk to its retail and commercial centre, to the shuttle bus to East MIdlands Airport, and to the station (1 hour 40 minutes or less to St Pancras, and from November 07 a direct link to Paris in 4 hours via the new Eurostar terminal).

    The Park has its own tennis, squash and bowling clubs, as well as green areas (the Circuses). The area is noted for its architecturally interesting houses set within tree-lined avenues, and offers a superb quality of life very rare so close to the city centre.
