    SURROUNDINGS and AMENITIES

Thornhill is a very pleasant sought after area up a hill on the very edge of the market town of Dewsbury. It boasts a fine Parish Church an excellent large park which includes a childrens’ play park, a mini golf course and a lake, a small number of useful shops open until late, a post office, several pubs and restaurants and a primary and specialist science secondary school. The doctors’ and dentists’ surgeries are close at hand and regular buses travel to Dewsbury, Wakefield and beyond. Edge Road is literally on the edge of the hill in a rural setting. There are several riding schools and livery stables very close by and frequent horse riders pass the house at all times of the day. There are many public footpaths on Edge Road and within close proximity to it taking walkers over beautiful countryside. By car it is 10 minutes to the city of Wakefield with its excellent Ridings Shopping Centre, 20 minutes to Leeds and about 35 minutes to Sheffield with all that these cities have to offer. Two hours takes you into London by train and Manchester, Leeds and Doncaster airports are easily reached.

The owner regrets leaving this lovely home but needs to re-locate for family reasons.
